Cara Rhone

Coach Rhone began coaching the Lady Bulldogs in the 2012-13 season as the assistant coach, leading the JV team to 12-5 record.  In the spring of 2013 Coach Rhone was named the new Head Coach.  

Coach Rhone’s primary focus for the Lady Bulldog Volleyball program was to build a new program which including developing future players with the Digs for Kids program and most importantly to develop a program that the athletes, parents, and community members to be proud of.  

Coach Rhone is a 1997 graduate of Big Spring High School.  She was a tri-athlete, competing in Volleyball, Basketball and Track (thrower).  After graduation, she attended Waynesburg University (Yellow Jackets) majoring in Health Service Management and playing Basketball all four years.  

While playing Basketball for the Yellow Jackets Coach Rhone was named captain all four years, and was named to many all-tournament teams. Coach Rhone was named to the all PAC conference team her senior year.  

After completing college, Coach Rhone returned to her hometown. She works in the Human Resource role at a local non-profit agency. 

Coach Rhone spends her off time with her husband Aaron, their wonderful son Dawson and their two dogs Odie and Stella.

Teresa Madden

Coach T began her coaching journey with the Big Spring Volleyball program during the Middle School Spring season in 2016 as a volunteer coach.  During the fall 2016 season, Coach T officially joined the Lady Bulldogs coaching staff as an assistant coach for the High School program.  Since joining the coaching team, Coach T has taken the lead on fundraising efforts and sponsorship program to support the needs of our athletes, team and program.  As of the 2018-2019 season, Coach T will be taking the lead role for the JV team and continue to assist the Varsity team.

Coach T is originally from Baltimore, Maryland where she graduated form Dulaney High School, playing Volleyball, Basketball and Lacrosse all four years.  Following High School, Coach T went on to play collegiate Volleyball for Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies.

Coach T brings a positive and caring attitude to the team and continues to play volleyball within our community year round.  She currently resides in Carlisle, PA with her husband, Wes and their four children who are all Big Spring Bulldogs!  Coach T enjoyes helping to develop our athletes both on and off the court and is looking foward to another great season!

Dawn Nickel

Coach Nickel joined the Lady Bulldogs coaching staff during the 2018-19 season as the JV and Varsity assistant coach.  Coach Nickel's role within the coaching staff is the conditioning coach.  Coach Nickel has brought a positive and fun attitude to our team, and continues to build upon the strong traditions of the Lady Bulldog Volleyball team.

Coach Nickel is a 1996 graduate of West Perry High School.  During high school Coach Nickel competed in Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Softball which gives here a broad range of expereinces for our coaching staff.  After graduation, she attend East Stroudsbug University majoring in Pysical Education with a minor in English Literature and played volleyball, lacrosse, and rugby for the Lady Warriors.

After completing college, Coach Nickel returned to her hometown and works for the US Postal Service. 

Coach Nickel spends her off time playing sports and being with her son, Jacob.
