Disenrollment Investigation and Grievance Committee News

  • The Disenrollment Survey has been distributed by email to all families that have chosen to disenroll from in-person learning from the 20/21 school year through the 23/24 school year. A reminder email will go out in approximately 2 weeks. The purpose of this survey is to collect quantifiable data on what factors have caused families to change direction and disenroll their children from Big Spring schools. This data will be used by the committee to recommend changes or areas needing improvement to the board. We hope to utilize this information to improve our schools and the educational experience we offer. As a committee, we thank you for taking the time to share what contributed to your decision. 

    If you have disenrolled from Big Spring in-person learning to any other learning option during these school years, but have not received an invitation to participate in the survey, please contact Julie Boothe at jboothe@bigspring.k12.pa.us.

    If you have had issues which made you look into or consider disenrollment of your student, the disenrollment committee would still like to hear your story. You are welcome to share in person at our meetings, arrange a private meeting if the topics will be sensitive or mentioning particular staff, or reach out to share with any individual member of the committee.
