What is comprehensive planning?

  • The Comprehensive Plan is a data-directed and research-based system planning framework. The plan includes district goals and action items, with separate state-required reports for assurances regarding Academic Standards & Assessment Requirements (Chapter 4); Student Services Assurances (Chapter 12); Professional Development Plan (Act 48); and Induction Plan (Chapter 49).

A 30-member committee group including students, parents, staff members, administrators, school board members, and community members contributed to the proposed comprehensive plan. The proposed plan outlines the district’s goals of academic growth, engagement, and well-being and the steps that will be taken to achieve these goals.

The plan must be available for public review for 28 days from May 1, 2024-May 29, 2024. The plan will be presented for approval by the Board of Directors on June 3, 2024. If approved, the plan will be effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027.

We encourage the community to review the plan and welcome feedback and comments. We also extend our thanks to committee members for their work and dedication and to the community for your continued support and partnership in education.
