Mr. Andrew Koman

Hello everyone!  Welcome to 7th grade social studies class with Mr. Koman!  This is my 10th year teaching overall, and my 7th year teaching at Big Spring Middle School.  In 7th grade social studies class, our curriculum centers around the geography, history, and culture of the Eastern Hemisphere.  The five themes of geography allow us to focus on certain aspects of these places and make comparisons between them.  

I am also the coach of the golf team at the high school, and I previously coached boys basketball at James Buchanan High School.  My wife and I have two children at home; Hannah and Zoey.  Hannah is 2 years old and Zoey was just born in June of 2022.  We also have a yellow lab named Caesar, who is 5. I look forward to meeting all of the students and having a great school year this year!
