Mrs. Heather Baluch

Greetings!  My name is Mrs. Heather Baluch. I have the honor of teaching the fifth grade at Mt. Rock Elementary. In hopes that you can get to know me better, I wanted to provide some background information.  Big Spring is my alma mater.  Right after high school, I attended Shippensburg University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in theater. In addition, I completed my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Shippensburg University. The 2023 - 2024 school year is my twentieth year teaching fifth grade for the Big Spring School District.

Home life: I live with my husband, and my two adopted children, my 12-year-old son, and my 10-year-old daughter.

Sibling: I have one younger sister.

Favorite football team: Pittsburgh Steelers                          

Favorite restaurant: Longhorn Steakhouse

Favorite stores: Torrid, Ross, and TJ Maxx

Hobbies: Singing karaoke, team trivia, creek tubing, playing mini golf, and flea market/thrift store “treasure hunting”
